Help Save Animals
Many animals in the world are in danger of dying out. This is because of climate change, plastic pollution in oceans, and hunting.
Climate change is damaging all kinds of animals’ habitats. For example, global warming and the new temperature records make the sea ice in the Arctic melt. As a result, polar bears have found themselves no place to live and no food to eat. Polar bears now have to travel farther in order to catch seals to eat. Therefore, many of them died because of hunger and the number of polar bears has reduced sharply. We must find ways to avert the climate change.
Plastic pollution in oceans is also killing animals. With millions of tons of plastic dumped into oceans every year, whales, turtles and other sea animals are swallowing plastic waste which is killing them. It is reported that more than a third of the world’s sea turtles were found having plastic waste in their stomachs. We must stop dumping plastic waste into oceans and reduce plastic usage.
Hunting animals is the key reason for animals in danger of dying out. For example, in the past, people in China hunt tigers for tiger-bones and tiger-leather. The result is that there are less than 200 wild tigers in China now. We must not only find ways to help wild animals but also stop hunting them.
We need to protect wild animals. We must tackle climate change, eliminate plastic waste, and stop hunting animals. So that we can see all the species of animals in the months and years ahead.
